RUGBY UNION AT ANTI-DOPING EDUCATION: KNOWLEDGE AS THE FIRST STEP TOWARDS CLEAN SPORT

In cooperation with the Rugby Union of Montenegro, an educational workshop on the topic of doping in sport was held. The goal of the workshop was to inform athletes about the dangers of using banned substances, the procedures involved in doping control, and the importance of preserving the integrity of sport through responsible behavior.
During the session, athletes were presented with up-to-date information on the list of prohibited substances, testing procedures, and the health and career risks associated with doping. Special emphasis was placed on the responsibility that every athlete has towards themselves, their team, and the sport.
The participants showed a high level of interest, asking numerous questions about supplements, medical treatments, and the rules they must follow to stay within legal and ethical boundaries.
Such educational initiatives play a key role in preventing doping and developing healthy habits among athletes, especially younger ones. Through open discussion, questions, and the exchange of experiences, rugby players gained practical knowledge that will help them make informed and responsible decisions throughout their careers.
