In accordance with Article 102 of the Sports Law, the Anti-Doping Commission:

  • Ensures the compliance of anti-doping rules with the provisions of the International Convention against Doping in Sports, the European Convention against Doping in Sports, the World Anti-Doping Code and its International Standards;
  • Prepares and approves the annual doping control analysis plan and maintains the registers of athletes who are tested;
  • Provides collection of samples obtained from athletes during doping controls during sports competitions and outside sports competitions and provides further analysis only in laboratories accredited by the World Anti-Doping Agency (hereinafter: WADA);
  • Conducts examination and investigation of violations of anti-doping rules, the International Convention against Doping in Sports, the European Convention against Doping in Sports, the World Anti-Doping Code and its International Standards, decides on allegations of violation of anti-doping rules and further prosecution;
  • Imposes measures on athletes and other persons in accordance with the International Convention against Doping in Sports, the European Convention against Doping in Sports, the World Code against Doping and its International Standards;
  • Implements educational and research measures in the field of the fight against doping;
  • In order to implement the provisions of the International Convention against Doping in Sports, the European Convention against Doping in Sports, the World Anti-Doping Code and its International Standards, processes personal data, including the health data of athletes, in accordance with the law governing the protection of personal data;
  • Undertakes other measures determined by the International Convention against Doping in Sports, the European Convention against Doping in Sports, the World Code against Doping and its International Standards and the anti-doping rules it adopts.
