Yesterday, at the premises of the Montenegrin Anti-Doping Commission, the Commission’s educators held a specialized anti-doping education session in sport, focusing on the basic principles of anti-doping, athletes’ rights and responsibilities, doping control procedures, and Therapeutic Use Exemptions (TUEs).

As part of preparations for the upcoming international competition, the education was tailored to the needs of the sports of Branislav Peković (alpine skiing) and Aleksandar Grbović (Nordic skiing), who will represent Montenegro at the Milano–Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic Games. The lecture also covered the Prohibited List of substances and methods, the responsible use of supplements, the risks of inadvertent doping, as well as the importance of fair play and preserving the integrity of sport.

This is the first in a series of educational activities that the Montenegrin Anti-Doping Commission plans to conduct during 2026, with the aim of continuously raising awareness among athletes, coaches, and sports professionals about the importance of clean sport and the protection of athletes’ health.

On this occasion, the Director of the Montenegrin Anti-Doping Commission, Neda Ojdanić, thanked the athletes for their visit and for successfully completing the education:

“I would like to thank Branislav and Aleksandar for visiting the Commission today and completing the anti-doping education ahead of their departure for the Winter Olympic Games. It is particularly significant that we are starting this cycle of education with athletes who will represent Montenegro at one of the world’s greatest sporting events. We wish them great success in Milan and Cortina, to achieve their sporting goals and to represent our country in a dignified, fair, and responsible manner.”

The Montenegrin Anti-Doping Commission continues its program of education and support for athletes, with the aim of ensuring that every athlete is informed, responsible, and prepared for fair competition, in accordance with national and international anti-doping regulations.
