From 22 to 25 December 2025, a training program for educators of the Montenegrin Anti-Doping Commission was successfully conducted at the Commission\u2019s premises, with the aim of further enhancing knowledge and strengthening capacities in the field of the fight against doping in sport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The training was delivered by Prof. Dr. Nihada Begta\u0161evi\u0107 from the Agency for Anti-Doping Control of Bosnia and Herzegovina (ADA BiH), whose extensive professional experience and long-standing work represent a significant contribution to the development and improvement of anti-doping systems in the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Participants in the training were the most experienced doping control officers of the Montenegrin Anti-Doping Commission, who, through an intensive and comprehensive program, further enhanced their knowledge and skills, actively participated in discussions, and exchanged valuable professional experiences from practice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A special focus of the training was placed on improving the knowledge and pedagogical approaches of educators, enabling them to convey information in a clear and effective manner to high school students, university students, as well as athletes at both elite and recreational levels. The emphasis was not placed solely on informing participants about prohibited substances and the sanctions that may be imposed for their use, but primarily on educating them about the serious and long-term negative health consequences that the use of prohibited substances can have on athletes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The training program covered key anti-doping topics, including the foundations and principles of the anti-doping system, the rights and responsibilities of athletes and athlete support personnel, the role and responsibilities of educators in the anti-doping process, the analysis of existing educational presentations and materials, as well as practical examples from doping control. In addition, a significant part of the program was dedicated to updates related to the 2026 WADA Prohibited List of substances and methods.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Director of the Montenegrin Anti-Doping Commission, Neda Ojdanic, emphasized that this training represents an extremely important step in the further development of the Commission\u2019s educational and preventive activities, highlighting the importance of international cooperation.\n\u201cThis is a wonderful example of cooperation between two countries in the joint fight for clean sport. We greatly appreciate the support and knowledge shared by our colleagues from Bosnia and Herzegovina, and we sincerely hope for future joint projects. Through such cooperation, we can further strengthen the field of education and prevention in our region,\u201d the Director stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This training represents an important step forward in improving the quality of anti-doping education in Montenegro and in raising awareness of the importance of health, ethics, and integrity in sport.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
