Komisija za antidoping dio Prvog Nacionalnog sportskog foruma u Podgorici
\"The Montenegrin Olympic Committee and the Sports Commission of the COK have launched the first National Sports Forum, which is being held on November 20th and 21st at the Hilton Hotel in Podgorica. The Antidoping Commission had the honor of being part of this significant event for Montenegrin sports, aimed at bringing together sports workers, coaches, athletes, and experts to collectively contribute to the improvement of the sports system in Montenegro.
On behalf of the Antidoping Commission, the lecture was held by associate Dr. Stefan Miki\u0107, who presented the key principles of antidoping education to athletes and coaches. In his presentation, he spoke about the importance of respecting fair play, as well as the responsibility that every athlete has towards themselves, their team, opponents, and everyone who loves and follows sports.
Special emphasis was placed on the antidoping rules prescribed by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA), which apply equally to all athletes, without exceptions. Dr. Miki\u0107 explained what constitutes an antidoping violation \u2014 from the presence of prohibited substances, refusal to undergo doping control, irregular and incomplete filling of Whereabouts data in the ADAMS system, to possession and unauthorized sale of banned substances.
The participants had the opportunity to see what an ADAMS form looks like in practice, as well as to familiarize themselves with the equipment used during doping testing. Athletes actively participated in the discussion, and some shared their personal experiences with doping controls. In doing so, they once again emphasized to younger generations the importance of daily education and consistently following all procedures to protect their sports rights and contribute to clean sport.
This year's Forum slogan \u2014 'The Athletes' Voice, the Power of Change!' \u2014 resonated strongly in the hall, reminding everyone that athletes play a key role in building a healthy and fair sporting environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
